Application of IEC 61496 (Type 2) international standard
The SF2-A series conforms to the European and North American safety standards so it can be used in any workplace throughout the world.
High level of safety
The sensor carries out a self-diagnosis when it is turned ON.
The monitoring section (CPU) inside the emitter constantly checks on the emitting circuit and the control circuit. Furthermore, the receiver has a monitoring section (CPU) which constantly checks on the receiving circuit, control circuit and output circuit, so that a high level of safety is maintained at all times.
Space-saving design of only 28 mm in width and 19 mm in thickness
With its 28 mm width and 19 mm thickness, it is small and requires the least installation space in the industry. It can be installed in small spaces incorporated within equipment.
Misaligned beam axes can be seen at a glance
The beam-axis alignment indicators are distributed along the sensors in four
sections. As the indicators of the sections whose beams are aligned light up
in red, the user can easily verify which beam axes have become aligned.
Once all beams have aligned, the indicators will light up in green.
Different types for various needs
Sensors are available with beam pitch of 20 mm or 40 mm. The protective height for sensors ranges from 190 mm to 1,950 mm, for both 20 mm and 40 mm beam pitch sensors. NPN/PNP output types are also available for all models. The sensors can be selected from this wide variety to suit your requirement.
