SUNX's Technology

Core Technology at SUNX

Ever since SUNX has developed a reflective photoelectric sensor employing LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes) in 1971, we have been contributing to factory automation with sensors that perform the 5 basic sensing functions for automation systems, particularly in semiconductors and electronic components manufacturing as well as in production lines with the work of industrial robots.

LASER Technology at SUNX

SUNX has been developing unique products such as laser markers with the latest laser technology.

■FAYb laser technology

SUNX proprietary pulse oscillation fiber (Fiber Amplified Ytterbium) laser marker gains stable high-pulse oscillation, which effectively excites and amplifies a laser beam by doping rare-earth element ytterbium within the fiber for amplification of laser beam.
Additionally, the use of a design where the excitation laser diodes are only activated during marking results in dramatically extended laser diode life.

■Energy saving technology

FAYb, which amplifies laser within ytterbium doping fiber, achieves a conversion efficiency of as high as 50%. This efficiency is 2 times higher than the conventional laser markers. The energy-efficient design keeps power consumption to approximately 1/3 the level of conventional laser markers.

■High-speed marking technology

SUNX proprietary servo technology of the ability to accelerate and decelerate the galvanoscanner in a short time delivers a high-speed marking of more than 700 characters/sec. with low temperature drift.

■FAYb Laser Marker

SUNX proprietary FAYb laser marker is compact, long-life, high-efficient, and completely air-cooling. Conventional ones had problems such as installation space limit, mounting direction limit and running cost, which have all been addressed by this revolutionary product now attracting much attentions.

The LP-F series, incorporated with the FAYb laser has cut down the power consumption by 90% from the conventional laser markers. The LP-F series has won the Chairman’s Prize of the 23rd (FY 2002) Japan Machinery Federation Excellent Energy Saving Machinery Awards.

The LP-V series has built on energy efficiency, high reliability, and other FAYb advantages from the LP-F series, evolving further to offer significantly improved marking quality and speed.

Sensing Technology at SUNX

As a pioneering manufacturer of sensors, we provide high performance sensors for a wide range of applications, facilitating factory automation in various types of production lines, such as those used for the manufacturing of semiconductors.

■Digitalization technology

Digital indication of analog values such as incident light intensity, pressure and range allows even beginners to perform precise settings.

■Elemental device technology

A "four-chemical emitting element", which suppresses changes in the light emitting element over time in order to maintain a stable level of light emission, has been employed in photoelectric sensors, fiber sensors, as well digital mark sensor with built-in red/green/blue LED's.

■Miniaturization technology

Miniature sensors such as an ultra-compact photoelectric sensor of 3.5mm in thickness and an inductive proximity sensor of 6 x 6 x 19mm in dimensions have been successfully developed.
